NFC Future Odds and Predictions
The NFL regular season is just over a month away, and NFL bettors are running out of time to place their future bets on Super Bowl, conference ,and divisional odds. In this piece, I'll run down the top three teams in the NFC and let you know if you should be placing faith on the NFL odds these top teams are getting. Do you think the heavy favorites will hold suit, or will an underdog come in and steal their thunder?
Green Bay Packers: +250 NFC, +500 Super Bowl
The Packers had a disappointing postseason last year, despite having a phenomenal regular season. They came in as the favorites to win the NFC, much like they are this season. So do you think they will cash as favorites this year? That remains to be seen. They play in a very tough division, and they have to play the Saints, 49ers, and Eagles, who are almost just as good.
San Francisco 49ers: +350 NFC, +700 Super Bowl
The Niners came flying onto the scene last season, and now they don't have the element of surprise in their favor. San Francisco made it all the way to the NFC title game last year, but despite their incredible defense, they didn't have enough offense to keep up with the Giants. This season, they have added a ton of weapons in their backfield and in their receiving core. We will find out a lot about Alex Smith this season because the excuse of not having enough weapons is no more.
Philadelphia Eagles: +400 NFC, +800 Super Bowl
Philadelphia was in this exact spot last season, and they completely failed. They had a horrible start, and in no way did they live up to the hype. Seeing as they will actually have a full offseason this year, things could be very different. They could also go down the tube real quick if one of their key guys gets hurt. Either way, if Philadelphia doesn't make the playoffs again, riots will start in Philly.
