SEC Media Days start this Wednesday, and there will be media swarming like ants at a picnic, grabbing any precious seconds they can from a who's who list of coaches this year.
Along with the general football questions, though, so many questions, based in the purest mode of attack, have been thrown this past year and will resume again up on the second floor of Birmingham's Wynfrey Hotel.
Last year, Nick Saban was the hero/villain of the show. Sure, Saban got some heat from the fact that he said in public that he wasn't taking the Alabama job, and then promptly took it. Of course, this year, he'll be the local hero and crown prince of the ball. This is Birmingham, after all.
They'll poke at Steve Spurrier for more famous lines and pressure him about winning a SEC crown at South Carolina. They'll throw the heat on Les Miles to repeat at LSU, and at Phil Fulmer to see if Tennessee can break their latest BCS drought, and they'll key on Mark Richt, given the preseason hype for his Georgia Bulldogs. And if you want the safest bet, bet on Richt being one of the most well-liked coaches from the media standpoint.
However, this might all pale to the drama that new Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino, as well as former Arkansas coach Houston Nutt, who now leads the Ole Miss Rebels.
Chances are, Petrino will take tons of heat. After all, he was ESPN's whipping boy all last winter, to the point where one had to ask if Arthur Blank was the newest owner of the network. Meanwhile, Nutt, who has been given the red carpet treatment in Oxford, will receive a couple of hardballs, but nothing too serious.
I say, with all due respect, it should be the exact opposite.
That's right, I'm defending Petrino. Let's face it, he got into a situation in Atlanta that turned out to be much, much different than what was told to him, so he took a huge pay cut to go back to college football, where he could better direct operations and foster much better relationships with players.
Let's face it ... was anyone really sympathizing with the Atlanta players who blasted Petrino when he moved to Fayetteville?
I wasn't.
These are the same people that consider Michael Vick a great guy. Is anyone really considering the sources here (cough, ESPN, cough)?
Petrino hated Atlanta. His family hated Atlanta. Now he has a chance to coach at a BCS-level school, knowing that conference titles in the SEC will have a much better chance for a shot at the national crown than a title would in the Big East. Don't believe me? Think about this: how many upsets in college football had to happen for West Virginia to get a shot at the title game (only to lose to Pittsburgh)?
As for Houston Nutt, we have a totally different situation.
Here's a coach that told his fan base over and over they would pass the ball. They rarely did, so much so that one season, incomplete passes drew standing ovations.
Here's a coach that told the Arkansas media that playcalling "was overrated," yet tells the Ole Miss media that calling plays is one of the best parts of the game.
Here's a coach who was so intimidated by the intelligence of his new offensive coordinator, fresh from the high school ranks, that, instead of turning him loose and reaping the rewards, turns him away and chases him to Tulsa, who had one of the top-ranked offenses in the nation last year.
Here's a coach that got the national media to attack Arkansas fans for filing requests to check his cell phone records, but never answered some of the questions that came out of those records. Most notably, why were top recruits in the state not being contacted? As for the alleged affair, give Nutt the benefit of the doubt, but ask instead why was he texting someone ... anyone ... minutes before kickoff of a bowl game?
To continue would be to open a huge can of worms, but the point is obviously made.
Bobby Petrino got burned for getting out of a sticky situation, created by the same man who started Home Depot, the head sponsor of ESPN's College GameDay. Houston Nutt runs to Ole Miss, and somehow manages to get people to look the other way on the many bridges he burned.
Mark my words, you won't want to miss the Arkansas/Ole Miss game this year. But I hope the media pulls Petrino out of the fire, and throws a little of it towards more deserving candidates.

With the passing of time comes the truth. This is the first in a long line of accurate stories that are beginning to be written. Thank you for starting to finally try and set the record straight. ESPN is nothing more than a lacky for Aurther Blank & the favored east coast teams such as Florida. Which explains why they openly campaigned for & promoted Tebow for the heisman and openly disparaged McFadden. ESPN is guilty of biased, yellow sports journalism & they are starting to get called for it. Kudos to this brave article.

It’s about time some light and truth was put on the Nutt/Petrino situations. All I can add is I am glad Nutt is gone and that Arkansas has a truly professional staff that will never allow the things that occured over the last several years to occure again. Thank you, Ole Miss, thank you.

Another Jason:
Wow, the truth will set you free, but it won’t result in a Home Depot sponsorship. We had to get rid of Nutt. He was planning on becoming the AD some day! We did get lucky by getting Petrino, I will admit that, but Nutt had to go no matter what. Go Hogs Go!

Mark:
WOW, Jean. …just Wow!!! You did a fine job of reaching into the “igloo of truth” and you just pulled out two six packs of reality. Those cans aren’t always black and white, are they?
Word to ESPN AND to the blind legions of idiot Razorback fans who saw Nutt do many stupid things but very early in his career (at Arkansas) chase away one of the greatest from the Arkansas coaching staff, Joe Ferguson — no questions of concern ever even raised. This should have opened more eyes, but naivety runs rampant within the “Land of missed Opportunity.”
Jean, the big game on October 25th is going to be bigger for Coach Petrino than any of the exausted, aggitated Hog fans. Why? Becasue he saw how disrespectful, shamefully self preserving and completely out of control Nutt’s Posse cojnducted its business. When Petrino stepped in as head coach he soon realized that (then) current Arkansas coaches were actively recruiting the group of Arkansas Razorback recruits to join the ranks of the Ole Miss Rebels. He saw a group of vengeful people who were/are completely disingenuine, manipulative and void of respect and decency.
Frankly, Hog fans are angry. Coach Petrino is beyond angry and will have this date circled on his calendar to honor this program, Arkansas fans who suffered through so much deception AND the honor of the fraternity of college coaches — most who are all far too dignified to conduct themselves the way Houston Nutt (and his crew) conduct themsleves on a daily basis.
As for Arthur Blank, he should look to Ole Miss for his next potential coach. They both work on a high level of deceit and dishonesty. Blank and Nutt are tailor made for one another!

Excellent article. Nutt has recieved a free pass from the media for too long. The guy is a complete and utter embarrassment to the college game. Arkansas gave him 10 years. Now, he is down in Oxford pitching his tired old racket.
Petrino did job hop. Who doesn’t these days?
Petrino never said “goodbye” to his players. Boo-hoo. Do you think maybe Arthur Blank wouldn’t let him?
Petrino is a helluva coach, and Arkansas fans got very lucky.
Perhaps its the karma wheel spinning back in their favor after ten years of enduring the Right Reverend.

Wow, how long did it take you to dig and report only a small part of truth? Probably not long. The rest of the media hack world would be good to take note and do a little research. The whole truth is out there for anyone to discover if you really want to know what kind of person Houston Nutt is. He is a vengeful, petty, vindictive little piece of excrement that will throw anyone and everyone under the bus to save his own ass. I am so freaking happy he is at Ole Miss. He won’t have the media suck ups like Clay Henry and Otis Kirk to spin stories and he damn sure won’t have an administration that operates in secrecy and deceit to keep his antics from becoming more public than they already are. The impending train wreck is going to be glorious. But not as glorious as watching Bobby Petrino turn the Razorback Program into one of the elites.

Thanks for the nice write up, Jean. I for one was always on the side of Petrino, knowing full-well that Mike Vick was the bad guy. And yes, it is fairly obvious that the SEC is a very dominant conference. The Big East doesn’t really compare (nor does the Big 10 or ACC). Nutt is a bigger liar than most politicians. I hope he crashes and burns for good at Ole Miss.

Petrino doesn’t have an ounce of class and he’s proven it over and over. He tucks his tail and runs at the slightest sight of distress and he tries to take other coaches jobs in the middle of seasons even though he’s employed already.
The man is a turncoat and a liar. For you to back someone with his track record and character, is nothing less than I’d expect to see from a homer Arkansas newspaper.
Please come join the rest of the country and see if their view remotely resembles yours. Petrino is only revered in Arkansas and after he isn’t able to recruit effectively because of his history of leaving teams players and teams high and dry, Razorback fans will scream for Houston Nutt.
Arkansas is in the wrong here for running off a man like Nutt who is a Hog through and through and led them to a lot of success by Razorback standards.

Another uninfomred moron has spoken. Do tell us…Johjn from Georgia? How is Arthur Blank a respectable person? You did not say as much, but you inferred it just by the simple assertion that he “brought the Falcons back from the dead.” So what? Ask Dan Reeves how hnorable Arhtur Blank is as a team owner.
Exactly how is Petrino a turncoat…you of specific examples and vast, rambling generalizations. Is it because boosters of Auburn University came to him — and not the other way around? And this happened how many times? Oh yes…once. Have you ever changed jobs, you throbbing hypocrit?
Finally, how is Nutt a Hog through and through? Please enlighten the Arkansas fans who missed this one? Was it best demonstrated — as a member of the Arkansas football team? Oh yes, he made the trip with the Arkansas team to Hawaii, then transferred at midnight under the cloak of darkness. Oh, and rather than being a man, he had his dad call the school to tell the university that his son was transferring to Oklahoma State. I seriously doubt that you were armed with this piece of infomration — were you?
How is Nutt a Hog through and through?
Frankly, we could give a rat’s ass of how the rest of the country perceives Petrino. Logic is not something based upon numbers…and whther most people agree to a misguided notion. Logic is grounded in fact and the ability to see in shades of grey not black and white. The fool is the one who thinks there is only one side of every sotry.
Enjoy your afternoon, fool.

Obviously you do care what the rest of the country thinks or you wouldn’t be linking this garbage to every SEC site on the rivals network, would you? Gotcha boy.
You love your boy Petrino and chide Nutt for having his father tell the school about his transfer.
What about Petrino “being a man” as you put it and telling his players he was leaving Atlanta? Were talking about a 40-50yr old man, as opposed to a college kid. Petrino is a coward.
If Warrick Dunn publicly criticizes you, then you are a real piece of work. Dunn never said a cross word about anyone but Bobby F’in Petrino. Dunn is the definition of class. It’s too bad ole Bobby couldn’t stick around in Atlanta long enough for it to rub off.

I have a few in support of him:
—Ran a fortune 500 company consistently voted one of the “Best Companies to Work For” in the United States year after year
—Brought a fan friendly atmosphere to Atlanta that had never existed.
—Created fan plazas and sold out the Georgia Dome for the first time ever for Falcons games
—Given millions upon millions of dollars to local charities in the Atlanta area as well as being a huge supporter of Habitat for Humanity
Try and run this man in the ground if you want. He’s done more in his life that you could ever dream to achieve.

Arkansas has always been my 2nd favorite school but I simply can’t cheer for a program with a man like Petrino at the helm. For the UA administration to overlook all of the wrong things this man has done in his coaching career and still offer him a job, is unthinkable and reeks of a win at all costs move.
Petrino will fail in Fayetteville because he can’t be trusted. Not by assistants, not by players and not by parents. The man doesn’t have an honest bone in his body.
Hopefully Arkansas can rid themselves of this mistake sooner than later and I can once again cheer them to an SEC West Championship.

Posting a link to other pages is called ‘dissemination of the truth.’ Not the truth that Patrrino did what anyone does when they change jobs…pack up and go. How do you know (for a fact) that Blank even gave Petrino the opportunity TO say goodbye to players in Gawga. You don’t . As usual, you are making assumptions with your limited scope of consiederation.
Actually, not that truth. THE TRUTH that Houston Nutt is more vile, reprehensible, undercutting and disingenuine than you (and your pea brain) will ever have the capacity to understand.
Burn bridges in Atlanta
It has happened before, but the city found a way to build itself back fro the ashes.
Burn bridges in the NFL
And no one raised a stink when aanother coach told his Miami team that he was dedicated to this team for the next seaosn, yet he was fired before the season ended. This is the way of the NFL. A t4eam does it and it is justified. A coach does it and he si villanized. Frankly, I would have left that ramshackle of convicts known as the Falcons, too. Good ridiance to a perpetual bottom feeder.
Burn bridges with Louisville
Exactly how is a bridge burned when a coach ends a season then moves to his next job. Does this (also) mean that Spurrier burned Florida and Saban burned LSU? You are well versed at making wild assumptions and I can tell I am waisting my breath rationalizing with an irrational idiot. Oh well, might as well finish this thing.
“The president disclosed last week that he, Housel and trustees Byron Franklin and Earlon McWhorter flew to Louisville to discuss the Auburn job with Petrino on Nov. 20 — without telling Louisville’s president or athletic director.”
Petrino did not initiate this meeting. Later it was revealed that Petrino was unaware that these Auburn officials failed to work through the proper channels at Louisville.
INTERESTING…HUH?
Burn bridges with Tuberville
Tubby…a native Arkansan, has been known to do the same himself. remember his stint at Ole Miss? He was the first coach in the SEC to dare move from one divisional school to another…and Ole Miss fans were very upset about it then, (but are fine with Nutt doing it today - hypocrits). But before he DID land at Auburn, he pursued the Arkanss job (the first time).
When Arkansas sought a replacement to Danny ford, TT interviewed. Ole Miss players were phoning Arkansas players telling them they did not want TT as their head coach. He was offered by Frank Broyles, but Frank’s committee had already made an offer to Nutt.
The whole thing between Auburn and Louiseville was handled wrong. But, this happenes in college football more than people realize. Petrino got his fingers sticky in this situation, but it was created by renegade boosters - not Petrino.
Per Tommy Tubberville, when back home last summer, he told local press he was past all of this stuff. I s’pose he has to be since meglomaniac uber-booster, Bobby Lowder is still the Auburn kingpin…and the guy who tried to orchestrate this ousting of TT back in 2003.
There you have it. John. I love how you close with yet another assumption. Typical of someone who does not arm themselves with facts.

Another entertainig post, John in Gawga! Thanks!!! Let’s examine yet another stated assumption, shall we?
“Petrino can’t be trusted…”
Then you have a lot of highly successful power brokers whom you just labelled idiots, including your own beloved Arthur Blank, high dollar boosters at Auburn University who came after Bobby Petrino’s services and a very highly respected athletic director at the University of Arkansas, who is well respected in the college ranks and found a way to trust Petrino himself.
What makes you qualified to say any of these highly paid decision makers are wrong. Hindsight? Hindsight makes everything easier. Nonetheless, these power brokers made the decisions and continue to make the decision to hire Petrino. Bob Stoops (good friend of AD Jeff Long (they were both on staff at Oklahoma) told Long that Petrino may just be the best offensive mind in college football. If he has the endorsement of Bob Stoops and the trust of Jeff Long, I could (again) give a rats’ ass if the rest of the world thought he was Atilla the Hun. What does the opinion of the rest of the world matter?
This article isn’t trying to change people’s narrow minded opinions — such as yours. This article does have the cojones to ask if both sides of the arguments have been examined. They have not…and never were. You prove well, that assumptions DOMINATE these discussion points.
Nonetheless, YOUR odd obsession with Bobby Petrino (I w=ince held Arkansas as my 2nd favorite team? But I can’t root for them with him in charge? Give us all a break, cowboy. It is clear that you are far more obsessed with Petrino than any Hog fan.
But, you are burying my lead! I continue to distribute the truth becuase Houston Nutt i an evil, manipulative, spiteful person who will do anythint to any young player…if they don’t play his game. Why do you think Peyton Hillis, one of the best fullbacks in college football, was projected as a 1st or 2nd round draft choice but went 7th round to Denver? Because he did not play Nutt’s games in F’ville and Nutt told all of the scouts that he was uncoachable. Ask Hillis’ father what he has heard from NFL personell.
now, Denver got what reporters are calling one of the top steals of this year’s draft. You (fans of other SEC schools) have no idea of the injustices perpetrated by Nutt and his assistants.
Meanwhile, university administration stood around and did nothing while fans in the know were trying to get the higher ups to make Nutt accountable. These fans were allowed to be branded as fanatical terrorist while the University stood by and treated them like children in the sense of telling them to shut up and eat your spinach.
It is no surprise the fan base revolted and went to the extremes they did. The level of utter disgust was epidemic because the code of conduct of these coaches was well beyond respectable. It was damn embarrassing and totally disgusting.
He (and his posse) is all yours OIe Miss. I bet you are doing a new coaching search after 3 years. Arkansas will be positioning itslef for a return to our old, old competitive ways.

What evidence do you have for Arthur being a bad guy?
As a Broncos fan, this is all the evidence I need. You call this admirable?
“Falcons owner Arthur Blank told Reeves — the sixth-winningest coach in NFL history — that he would be fired at the end of the season, but asked him to coach the final three games. Reeves asked to be let go immediately.”
It is fron this article:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1682856
No one has any room to criticize Petrino for bailing on the Falcons after this type of stuff exists in the team’s history. Dan Reeves is an honorable man and was shat upon by this organization and Mr. Blank.
He might be a good man outside of how he manages the Atlanta Falcons. But, his management of this team — and the way he treats people…including future hall of fame coaches such as Dan Reeves, is wrong. Some people should not own professional sports teams.

Anyone that defends ESPN for the hatchet job they did on Bobby Petrino is not being rational. Sean Salisbury went on national TV and advised parents to not let theier kids go to Arkansas because Petrino left a horrible situation in Atlanta and did not adddress the team. Whoopty freaking doo!!! The last time I checked each one of those guys are paid millions of dollars to play for Atlanta. I am not heart broken to report Salisbury is no longer employed at ESPN. It is a well know fact that Blank advised Petrino he could interview for the Arkansas job on one day and then came back the next day and advised if he did so they would drag his name through the mud. Petrino changed jobs at the only moment he had an opportunity to leave a situation he could not improve in Atlanta. He took a paycut in doing so and landed at a university that is struggling to compete in the toughest conference in college football. It is also well known that Petrino was advised if he were to accept the Arkansas job he would not be allowed to finish the season in Atlanta and would not be allowed to address the team. Arthur Blank spends a lot of money advertising with ESPN I have no doubt that had more to do with the reaction of the ESPN media than did the truth of the entire situation. ESPN to thier credit made an attempt to do a fair peice of journalism today while interviewing Petrino. They have a long way to go before I think of them as a legitmate source of sports news. They have too many out of touch people spewing opinions they hear from someone else rather than digging up truth. I turn on ESPN on occasion to get scores but I have not watched an episode of sportcenter since the hatchet job began. This is irrelevant to the conversation but If Petrino is so bad why would Chris Mortenson’s son Alex transfer back to Arkansas to learn from him.
Ask yourself a simple Question: Is it unreasonable to think that if one of your competitors contacts you on the sly and want to know if you would be interested in changing jobs. Would you not at least hear them out? Because that is exactly what Petrino did in the Auburn situation.
Ask yourself another question: If you were a successful D1 football coach and the Atlanta Falcons were blowing smoke in your ear and throwing wads of cash at you to take the job. Would you be interested? Because that is exactly what happend when he finished the season in Louisville and accepted the offer.
One more question: If you had accepted this new job and your family was miserable, you were miserable and you were not having the success in the arena you know and understand. Would you not do everything in your limited power to get back to what to what you know and when you were happy? Because that is exactly what Bobby Petrino did knowing full well as soon as he did so he was going to get second guessed by every person with a microphone that had no clue what it was to walk a day in his shoes.
I feel very fortunate that we have someone with that much courage.
I for one tried to always give Houston Nutt the benefit of the doubt. I will admit there was an awful lot of smoke and rumors. I think the truth usually lies in the middle of two stories. So if that logic is to be applied and if Nutt did only 1/2 of what he was accused of doing then he definately had behaved in a manner unbecoming of the represenative of the University of Arkansas. I will also say that most people in Arkansas agree that Houston was very self preserving and was very intimidated by Gus Mahlzan and although it is still a sensitive subject to Razorback fans I believe Jean reported more truth than fiction.

Nutt is fortunate that Matt Jones’ drug use did not come out in 2002 or he would have been fired then. Jones saved Nutt’s bacon then. There is not a coach in America that would be texting his mistress 17 minutes before kickoff of a bowl game except for Nutt. Hog fans can rejoice that he is gone.
Who knows how Petrino will turn out, but he is a definate upgrade over Nutt. How can you win 10 games have the Heisman runner up like he did in 2006 and still have such a dismal recruiting class? Petrino will have to clean up that mess. Nutt will not have the good old boy system looking out for him at Ole Miss that he did at the UA. Nutt will be gone at OM before Petrino is gone at Arkansas.

You inbred idiots are fawning over this writer as if he is some unbiased random sport writer. He is a former Arkansas student. Please! So much for the unbiased objective column wet dream you were having.

Can’t you blowhards convince yourselves in a couple of sentences that the nation will hand Bobby P. and you hillbilly bubbas a Wally-World national championship next year ?

Ole Miss has one of the best teams it has had in a long time. The receivers are all veterans and the 0-line has 2 first rounders next year. Although we dont have McFadden and Jones we still have talent in the backfield with Cordera Eason and Enrique Davis. The defensive line could be one of the best in country. Peria Jerry, Jerrell Powe, Greg Hardy are all unbelievable lineman. I think Nutt and Patrino with both find success with this change and I wish them a bright future with each program. Come October 25th things might be a little different though!

Incest isn't for me:
The simple fact is that if Petrino had won at Atlanta he’d still be there. But he was an utter failure, that’s why he bolted.
Jean Neuberger is a moron.

All you guys do is argue about stupid stuff. Let history make a name for itself and we’ll just watch the game. This read has wasted my day, also this post. I apologize for wasting your time. ( whoever is reading this )

Seriously:
I just wasted my time.. It’s football. Let’s let history make a name for herself and Nutt/Petrino and we’ll just watch the games. Get a life.

“The Falcon’s QB is still in prison. The Atlanta players and fans act like he is a hero. No wonder Petrino wanted out.”
What a gross overstatement. The VAST majority of Atlanta fans are done with Mike Vick. He has about as much credibility as Bobby Petrino.
Like it or not, Atlanta has more minority season ticket holders than any franchise in the NFL. Mike Vick, a black QB, was their guy. Falcons fans have had nothing at all to cheer for since a miracle run in 1998. They haven’t had a star anywhere close to the level of Mike Vick. I understand why it’s hard for some of those people to let him go, but the VAST majority are over it.
Don’t confuse a small vocal minority as being the voice for Atlanta Falcons fans.
I still say that if you can cause Warrick Dunn to publicly run you in the ground, obviously you are a man of questionable character.

Thanks for calling it like it is on the Bobby Petrino/Houston Nutt situation. I don’t understand the national media glossing over the Nutt situation. The only thing I can think of is that they were embarrassed they got scooped by a bunch of fans so their response was “There’s no story here, let’s just move on.” As far as ESPiN’s treatment of Petrino…why didn’t RichRod get the same harsh words for a very similar situation?

Oh my God!!! I don’t believe what I just read. Someone finally actually did a piece of real journalism on the Arkansas situation.
Houston Nutt ranks only behind George W. as the biggest media manipulator on the planet and they are in a dead heat for most incompetent fraud.
Someone actually dared question the motivations of ESPN? Holy shit! ESPN a once great and groundbreaking cable channel has become firmly established as the corporate sports channel catering only to the most established and marquee programs…no one else need apply. They are essentially tabloid journalists…running with whatever knee jerk reaction is popular, no investigative reporting required.
Wow, someone finally said Petrino may have gotten a raw deal since ownership obviously did not disclose the real Michael Vick situation or at the very least a reporter recognized the drastic impact of having your franchise QB locked up for the next 3 years. But I guess that is Petrino’s fault as well. No one mentioned that Blank had no problem firing Mora in the middle of the season…yet somehow Petrino should be cast to the gates of hell for leaving with three games left in fubar’d season.
And finally wow some actually connected the very simple dots of ESPN toeing the line for Arthur Blank the owner of Home Depot. WOW WOW WOW, imagine an owner using the media to manipulate popular perception…say it ain’t so. Arthur Blank flat out lied to Petrino saying he was okay with Petrino talking to Arkansas then doing an abrupt about face whne he realized the PR nightmare he would have on his hands if Petrino left and still in the wake of the Vick soap opera. So Blank goes against his word and makes the decision as hard as humanly possible
And yes the Arkansas/ Ole Miss game will be one to watch this year. I just hope we can handle Nutt’s brilliant run it up the middle strategy.
Well done

Although I agree with your assessment of Jean and his ilk,Michael, these type of “fans” do not represent the majority of our fan base. The vemon you see from these people has become an addictive game to them.Houston leaving was the best and worse thing that could happen to them.I believe the fans of Arkansas were one of the reasons we were excepted into the sec.I hope this idiocy by a few doesn’t damage all of us.

Truth needs to be told here. All the anti-Nutt hate here is from posters of the Hogville.net. Go to that website and as Darth Vader would say “Feel teh hate!” They come here and make it seem as though they just happened on this site and are leaving “their” opinion. But in reality it is some sort of Rush Limbaugh script for idiots. By the way, I will be rooting for the Hogs this year. And Ole Miss.

Nutt never won anything at Arkansas and Petrino will quickly learn that the SEC isn’t the Big East. Both teams couldn’t be any more irrelevant.

So……..you have Darren McFadden nd Felix Jones,,,,,,,and you want to throw the ball with a true frosh qb? Check please. Two firs round RB and a two-time Heisman runner-up vs. a pimply faced whiner? Give me Felix the Cat and big MAC getting 15 carries apiece. Nutt was doing the right thing on the field, too bad he is an idiot with his cell.

Tyler:
Are you serious? Houston Nutt was run out of town in R Kansas so he came to Ole Miss. Bobby Petrino just quit. I understand that it was a bad situation in ATL but you could still finish out the season. Furthermore he lied about what he was going to do and left in the middle of the night to announce that he was accepting the job at R Kansas. You think Houston Nutt deserves more blame? Give me a break.

Dirty Leg!? WTF!? I love that.. I just spit a little beer on my monitor and checked the bedroom for the old lady! She’s still there.. You better not be under the bed Ross!
Oh!.. and for the whole NutTrino gate affair. get over it.. Nutt is gone.. BP is here. Let’s all move on.. 10/25 should be one helluva game though… If Ole Miss is as good as they should be, and Arkansas is as good as they could be it will be one big night for the ESPN’rs.. Heck Fayetteville may even get another visit from Corso and company on this one. I would also probably bet the OVER on this one too.. The lights may just burn out on the scoreboard.. My prediction Ole miss wins 111 to 110 in only two overtimes… LOL!!! Our linebackers probably wont be able to stop Ole Miss’ 5th string running back from breaking 300 yards, and after both Dicks, and two freshman each passing for 600 yards Ol Morty might even have a 300 yard passing total… One thing I gotta give ol Hooty, he sure can win in OT!!
